Still no verdict has been reached on the 3rd day of jury deliberations in the corruption trial of Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price. Price has been accused of mail fraud, tax evasion and bribery. The day ended with the jury deciding to continue deliberations the next day.

WBAP News interviewed criminal defense attorney and legal analyst James P. Whalen regarding his thoughts on the length of the deliberation. Mr. Whalen raised some key points on what the jurors’ attitude may be in the situation and what it could mean for the defense (Price).

Mr. Whalen suggests that the long deliberation time could mean that the jurors are taking things seriously, which could be an advantage on the part of the defense.
