Amy J. Morales brings a unique and diverse background that enriches her role at Whalen Law Office. Born in Rhode Island, she spent her formative years in Guatemala before returning to the U.S. at the age of 12. Amy pursued her education in Rhode Island and showcased academic excellence, culminating in a Cum Laude graduation from Rhode Island College in 2017. There, she earned a bachelor’s degree in both Criminal Justice and Sociology.

Bringing a wealth of experience, Amy has served as a Paralegal specializing in Immigration Law and has worked with the State of Rhode Island’s Department of Business Regulation – Legal Division. Her journey led her to Texas in 2020, a state she fell in love with upon arrival.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Amy is deeply involved in her church community. She passionately participates in various activities and lends her singing talent to the worship group.

I needed an open records request to the Plano police department. When I sent it myself, I was ignored. I asked James to help, his office did get a response, but heavily redacted (and was not even relevant – I think they lied). None the less, by way of questioning them with a law firm, they became aware I was “lawyered-up”, and have not tried to trick me again. I’ve drooped my open records inquiry as it served its purpose – they are on notice. Thanks James.
